dosing??

This may sound like a stupid question. My dr had me on 750mg of hydrocodone and now put me on 5mg of Percocet. Is that less or more? Is it a stronger drug? I'm confused about the two. It seems I'd be able to taper off easier if the milligrams of Percocet is less that what I was previously given.
 
The 750mg of hydrocodone is actually the amount of acetominophen that is in the pill, it's probably 7.5mg of the narcotic. The 5mg of percocet is a higher dose of meRAB.
 
I had no idea. So i gather i should taper off of the hydrocodone slowly and not percocet. I honestly thought it was a lesser dose of the same class of drug. What is the difference between the two? My dr said they are basically the same???
 
The hydro is a class III and the percocet is a class II (stronger) drug. I would either taper or go cold turkey off both of them. What has your doctor said?
 
As it turns out, the Percocet makes me sick. So it has been easy to taper off. We'll see. I only took 3 pills yesterday total. I guess my body prefers Vicodin? Its strange as to why my Dr even gave my Percocet to begin with. Either way, I need to commit to a tapering schedule. Right now, my skin looks like a plucked chicken and my hair even hurts.
