Door Scrape On White 2000 Honda Accord?

Major Zero

I am borrowing my step-moms car and I just noticed after I got home this fairly good sized door scrape (1/2" to 3/4") near the door handle.....this car is her BABY and i know if i return it like this i will literally die!!! So does anyone know how to cheaply fix this type of scrape to where its barely or totally unnoticeable

The scrape is rectangle shaped, real evenly sliced, and all the way down to the metal???...OH and the color is that good 'ol Honda White

I mean if i have to breakout the fingernail polish i will...not that i own any but...lol...i just wanna see if there would be a better way than that

Thanks A Lot!!!

Well, first i would go to a car store, and get two cans of automotive paint. One is the honda white or whatever shade of white it is, then a can or clearcoat.

Then use sandpaper and sand down the scratched area, not to the metal, but just make sure that the surrounding paint has no clearcoat left

then tape up everything around it, door handle, maybe some of the window.

Then Spray the white in nice light coats in a left to right motion. Very thin. Then do it again in 10min. and prolly once more for safe measure.

Then spray one or two coats of clearcoat in 15min intervals.

After it dries and it out in the sun for a while, poossibly drivin around for a few hours, it will look normal
