I remember in some detail a door bell security camera installed into homes on the Discovery TV show "It takes a thief." It would take pictures of anyone who approached the door whether they rang the doorbell or not. The pictures were saved to a small alarm system like panel inside the home and could be reviewed on a small LCD screen.
I'm very adamant about the one they used on the show due to its simplicity. I'm not looking for a complex intercom system. I want to see anyone who tries to case my house or have a visual record if someone should break in.
