Hi,
I LOVE Doom 3, however i can never get to play the game with all of these problems on Boot-Camp for my mac. I was able to narrow it down to 1 problem. The problem is that i play the game for 1 or 2 minuets travel to a room or two, and BAM windows gives me the stupid "This program has encountered a problem" message (the one with the 'Send error report' button or 'Don't send'). i got this message AT LEAST 5 times today! Please help me im stuck and i don't know what to do! Here's a list of my computers technical specifications:
Windows XP Boot Partition:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Operating system is: Windows XP SP 3 originally with SP 2 installed
CPU Is: Intel Core Two Duo 2.0 GHz
Ram is: 2.0 GB of SIMM 5.0 V (1 Stick) with 2 GB of VRAM on Hard-Drive
Graphics Card is: Nvidia 9400 Geoforce GT with 128 MB of (V)RAM
SCSI: NONE
Hard-Drive is: 25 GB for partition using FAT32
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Here is what i tried to resolve the problem:
- Update Drivers (But all that did is prevent the game from launching)
- Install ActiveX (even another time for safe measure from the game)
- changed display option to 680 by 460 resolution
- disabled visual themes
- ran dependency walker to find missing files (there were two missing files but they weren't apart of the game
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
This is all i can think of right now if there is any more needed information, just post it. and please post as many possible fixes as possible!
Thanks
P.S. try to exclude uninstalling the game and re-installing it, i want to save that for last.
