Don't you think the President should always wear a bullet proof vest?

If President Obama does already, then my apologies to this question. However, if not, then why not? Every American president assassinated had the best human protection in the world...but no bullet proof vest. What is your take on this?

He is presiding in a difficult time. I was actually thinking something similar to this question earlier while watching the 6PM news and it showed him walking down a flight of stairs (outdoors) with nobody within 10 feet of him.

I don't have an answer ... except ... maybe he should.

I would NEVER ever want to live in a world that people we have as leaders must wear bullet proof vest in order to live.

Blah! No

Yes. You never know what will happen... maybe McCain supporters going crazy or maybe racist people on a riot.

not all the times. he did wear a vest when he was walking just after becoming president. But i think it would depend on the situation he would be placed in weather to wear one. More of a personal call

I agree with you very much so. Although he is surrounded by the secret service and every building around his public addresses are monitored and searched, he should also wear one just as an added level of protection. I am not a racist in any way but i believe especially so since he is our first African American President that he should wear one, because more than likely there will be an attempt on his life at some point in his presidency.

i guess so but it doesn't protect from head shots, and anyways that be uncomfortable
