should be re-hired on to make...? ...a DECENT adaptation of Frank Herbert's novel "Dune", for the love of God (or should I say Muad D'ib)?? 
I mean geez, it's about time they do that masterpiece some justice. And find an actor that actually looks good to play Duncan Idaho, too. He's supposed to be a total hottie. I swear these people who have made that book into a movie in the past have never even READ THE BOOK!!!
I disagree that the 1984 version is even bordering on okay. That is a kickass book and every screen adaptation thus far has SUCKED on a massive scale.
