getting the desired gender? I just read something on here about someone wanting one gender over the other, Im sick hearing things like this, its really nasty. A child is a child, geeez, why cant people just be thankful? Its not the middle ages now, boys and girls can do the same things, have the same chances, how do you think it makes your child feel to grow up and hear daddy wanted you to be a boy and he was disappointed or Mommy wanted you to be a girl so she could dress you up in pink, its just insulting, kids are people they arent toys. I would love and cherish my children even if I had 10 boys or 10 girls in a row. Ive always believed gender is something people have invented any way, obviously someone is male or female by birth but all this girls cant do this ,boys cant do this nonsense is just stupid. Anyone on the same wave length as me?

I mean I hear people say my husband was disappointed, and they're OK with that? If that was my wife I was talking about Id seriously be annoyed and wonder what sort of parent shes going to be if she cant even appreciate her own child for whoever he/she is!!
 
I completely understand you. I always thought that regardless of gender they are still the same species with the same capabilities. I don't understand when people separate the roles in life based on gender. But I guess like you said, people can be ignorant. If I ever have children, I would accept them as my child regardless of gender. If my husband doesn't want to accept the gender, then I would realize that I chose the wrong person. But one thing is for sure, I would never be disappointed at my child for something they can't even control.
