the country? I used to think South Africa could be a role model for the rest of Africa since the fall of apartheid but it's just hit me that the one thing that unifies the rainbow nation is.....ignorance. None of the racial groups seem capable of seeing things from other perspectives. Each of them are so wrapped up in their own set views/ways of thinking they seem incapable of holding intelligent impartial discourses about politics. Crime is out of control, AIDS is out of control, their foreign policy is a shambles. (Their government seems to hate Zimbabwe with a passion yet they make pronouncements on Gaza and the Iraq war). When South Africans are not beating or killing makwerewere/foreigners they are dying in car accidents. Then you have people like Julius Malema turning South Africa into a joke. This is a guy who visits a white enclave and says the country should learn things from this "model community" and then brands Helen Zille a "racist girl."
