Don't like going to doctors

I don't think I will go to any doctors anymore. Went for something unrelated to acid reflux. When I mentioned acid reflux all he talked about was cancer, cancer, cancer. I don't like these idiots pushing something that has a remote connection at best. Besides I have LPR not regular reflux, suppose to be even less chance if you LPR. Wanted me to get all these expensive tests. They feel all they have to do is say Cancer and you'll agree to a million worthless tests. Sorry Charlie, all you did was make sure I'll never go back. I already had enough tests and nothing any doctor ever game me improved my reflux, I had to figure out how to reduce it on my own. They can take their pills and their tests and stick it.
 
Way it goes...I am about to have another medication added to my ample assortment. Seems like there's a pill for everything that ails us. One year after I started taking Nexium, I am still trying to figure out whether this drug does anything for me. :dizzy:
My husband is in your shoes. He has just changed his mind about going ahead with an expensive test. I am a little dissapointed, because without the testing we won't have a piece of mind. I hope your new doctor will handle things differently. Our doctors should give us more credit. I don't think they realize just how well informed we are. ;)

similar thing happened to me, I went for test for leaky gut and as soon as the doc found out I smoke ...all he wanted to do was send me for lung xray and talk about cancer ...several times I had to remind him what Im there for
.....only going back to pick up test results for leaky gut and will leave the quack with a piece of my mind
theres an old joke that goes something like this
'you think you are well ?....you just havent had enough tests ':eek:
