Don't know where to go next

For several months, I've been having a lot of pain in my back, shoulders and lower back. I thought I was having sciatica pain. Some days I can hardly walk my legs hurt so bad. I've been to the chiropratcter lots of times and she suggested I have an MRI of my back. I had the MRI of middle and lower back. There is no disc damage. This is what they said:

"Lumbar vertebral bodies are normal in signal intensity and height. Slight desiccation of the discs but no protrusions present. Mild arthritic facet joint disease in lower lumbar spine. No fractures. Spinal cord is normal.
A 1 cmm lesion is present in T6 feastures a hemagioma. No disc pathology in thoracic spine. Vertebral bodies are intact. No fracture. Spinal cord is normal."

My Dr said there is nothing there that could be causing all the pain I've been having. Sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy and it's all in my head but I know it's not. The pain is real but I can't find out what's causing it.

I don't know where to go from here. My Dr said possible fibromyalgia. Does this sound like it? Do you get pain in the middle of the back and the lumbar to make it hard to walk? I get discouraged because it's like no one is finding out the problem and it makes it look like I'm making it up but I'm not.
My life has pretty much been on hold the whole Summer. I haven't been able to do anything because of the pain.

Where do I go now? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It is possible it is "inflammation" in those areas or it could be Fibromyalgia. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and also have inflammation.

I too have those pains and internist and orthopedic doctors tell me it is inflammation. I am taking Limbrel and it does help, not a cure, but, makes life more livable.

A heavy duty pad type vibrator is my best friend, use first thing in the morning when I wake up so I will not be so stiff when I get up. Also use the vibrator at other times too.

You can have a type of arthritis that does not have calcium depoists, just inflammation.

Very warm showers help. Take warm shower before doing exercises and/or before bed.

If it is Fibromyalgia, keep moving even if it does hurt, will move slower, but, the alternative is that you can cripple yourself by not moving enough....get stiff. Don't allow Fibro to rule your life, remain in control of your life. I soon learned acceptance of the condition made life easier for me. I take Tylenol when misery gets too rough, otherwise, I just live with it. When my legs hurt, I rest often but not for too long, get too stiff the longer I sit.

Isn't it possible the hemangioma is the cause of the pain? I know it's small but isn't it possible? I know nothing about them except they're benign tumors. May I suggest you post on the spinal disorders board, there has to be a reason for your pain. I hope you get some relief soon.

I thought about that too but the Dr said no. I wonder if I should get a second opinion? My lower back hurt so bad this morning I could hardly walk.

Are you seeing a Neurologist? If not I'd be inclined to and by all means get a 2nd opinion. Also I've been told that a CAT scan is better at picking up some things in the spine. I do hope you get an answer and treatment soon, I know from experience how depressing pain can be.
