So I got a cool 1994 Pontiac Grand Am and I plan on replacing the factory installed speakers because whoever owned it before me blew them out. But I don't just want to repace them, seeing as it only costs about 100 bucks to get much better ones, I might as well. The only problem is im pretty sure the maximum wattage that the speakers in my car can be is 100, but that's not good enough. Is there a way to change this? Can you give me a link, or point me in the right direction or something? Thanks in advance.

the car cant hold back the watts that your speakers are its the system
amps can increase this but im dont think you need one for basic speakers. you can also replace the head unit (the radio thing at the front) for around a 100 bucks. but go into an auto zone or a stereo shop and start asking questions. they are the real pros
