If you are a back pain patient, do not go to Sacred Heart hospital in Pensacola, FL. They treat you as if you are a drug addict seaking a fix. They take all of the other patients before you. when they do take you back, they continue to treat patients who came in after you before you.
I have been left in the waiting room for more than 14 hrs. The last time I had to go, I wasn't treated for 7hrs. By the time they usually treat me there, I am severly dehydrated. It takes them several very painful tries to get an IV in. They do nothing to control the pain while you are waiting.
I feel humiliated and erabarrassed to be in pain by the time I leave there. I am posting this to hopefully save anyone from the treatment there. There are 2 other hospitals in Pensacola, West Florida and Baptist, go to them. The only reason I've went to Sacred Heart is my physicians use this hospital.
My doctor says my best chance of controlling my pain is a implanted drug pump. I am hesitating this due to the fact the surgery will be done at Sacred Heart and they may not control the surgical pain.
I feel trapped and alone.
