Tired of TTC!!

Okay, so a little background: I had a tubal ligation done on April 2008. Waited almost a year to TTC due to my wedding and trip to Mexico) then after six months of no results I had an HSG done to check my tubes and was told they were open and clear. He wrote me a script for blood work to get done on cycle day 3 but for 3 months straight that day ended up falling on a day I was away or a day that the labs were closed so I never got it done from that doctor.
On April 21st I saw my regular GYN and he was asking me how things were going and I told him that I was still trying to get pregnant so he gave me a script for the blood work and told me to get it done ASAP. I asked if I was supposed to do it on a specific day (because my other doctor and everything I had read said it should be done on cycle day 3) but he said I could do it any time. So, of April 24th (which was cycle day 13 for me) I had the blood work done. I just called my doctors office and was told my results were normal but now I am worried that the tests were done on the wrong day; it seems weird that everything and everyone else would say to take those blood tests on cycle day 3 and he was the only one to say any day is fine.
So my question is: Is it okay to have these tests done on cycle day 13 or should I have the tests redone?
