Ok, so about 3 nights ago our dog got a puncture wound. he got about 5 stitches but since then has removed one, maybe two of them. It was not a deep puncture wound (was not bleeding when it happened). But it was a sort of pocket wound where while not bleeding, kinda pulled the skin a little.
Since then he has been on Cephalexin (antibiotic). He is active and not panting heavily. But since removing the stitches, part of the wound has seemingly opened up again. Once more, it is NOT bleeding, but part of the wound has opened up again.
He now has a cone on. And we are administering neosporin, as well as the antibiotic. My question is if there is any serious emergency to get him to a emergency vet or not?
