I have a 2 year old Newfoundland, and she lives outside the majority of the time. During the winter months (I live in Missouri, so pretty cold in the winter!) I'd like to bring her indoors at night. My indoor temp is 73 F, while the avg outdoor temp at night is 26. In the mornings whenever I wake up to get ready for school I have to put her outside, where she'll remain for the rest of the day until I bring her back in to sleep again. Could I make my dog sick by doing this? Going directly from 73 degree indoor temps to 26?? Please help, I haven't began our winter routine yet, but would hate for it to harm her.
May I also point out that me bringing her inside is also for the fact that I enjoy having my dog inside, not just for her warmth.
