Ok, i asked a question an hour ago(or close to it)and while i admit it wasn't probably phrased like a pro i immediately got a few nasty responses. I was a little pissed at first and then kind of chuckled about it..I mean this one person had some canned responses ready to go..So something tells me they do this all the time..This is apparently a hobby to her/him..Anyway, i think most people just assume the worst and its somewhat understandable.
I did in fact have a vet tell me it shouldn't be a issue with my male dog around a new litter. So, i can take his advice or those on yahoo answers. Everybody is a know it all. I dont know everything and dont pretend to know...Here's the question since everybody seems to be such a pro..
If you have 2 females(one in season) and 1 male and you want to breed as a side business, Is this considered backyard breeding? All dogs involved have elbows and hips certified. All have been temperament tested and are in the best shape possible We had our lawyer draw up a contract etc..We will also not let the buyer take dog to pound..We will always take the puppy back and give refund. The dogs aren't the problem here. Users seem to think we are..So wtf does it take then? You tell us. We have 5 pre sold by people looking at the parents only...It would be difficult to get a better
dog in this particular breed. We have talked to the importer we got our male from and these people who we trust..http://firstfriendk9.com/
So what does it take? Just curious..If someone doesn't have a actual building/ office they're backyard breeders? Cite your reasons instead of random nothingness. ..You actually suggesting every single dog born in a house is backyard breed? It's not hugely important because we know the quality of our dogs, but what constitutes a backyard breeder? LOL..We are making exactly squat off this litter.Picture 2 fully grown and one half grown GSD's each eating 4-6 cups of food each day..Add in the 4500.00 we paid for them , medical bills, training, time, shots etc..Not a lot of profit in this deal. The 1300 we sold each pup for still doesnt cover it..if this is backyard breeding than i guess im guilty as charged
