We've had our dog since he was a puppy and he's now going on 5 years old. For six months, we kept my sister's dog for her while she escaped from an abusive situation and found a home where she could have her dog back.
Our sister's dog left two weeks ago to go back and be with my sister. Since then, our dog has been acting strange. He's been finding little corners (between the dresser and the wall, under the bathroom shelving, under tables, etc) and lying there like he's hiding. He's also been sleeping a lot.
His appetite is good. He plays well with the kids when they come get him and initiate playing. He is enjoying his walks. He's just hiding around the house and sleeping a lot.
Is he just sad? Or should we be concerned?
