before working out)? I'm an 18 yrs old male. In high school I was the nerdy type that didn't like to exercise and go to gym classes. I was slightly overweight, even though I didn't look fat. I was at 196 pounds (5'10). I decided that I want to change my lifestyle when I was a senior in high school. I wasn't really committed to it until about 3 months ago, where I applied for a gym membership. I wasn't in great shape and I was a horrible cardio runner. I get tired easily when I run. The first time I started out I could only run about 3 minutes speed 7 (on treadmill). The more I did it the more I was able to run more. Now I'm able to run AT LEAST 10 minutes speed 7. I did 17 minutes (2miles) one time when I was really pumped and really pushed myself. But recently, I have noticed that I'm only able to run about 10-11 minutes max with speed 7. I'm really disappointed in myself because I can only do that much when I did 17 mins before, and I'm supposed to improve, not getting weaker. I was so disappointed that I over pushed myself 2 days ago and did 13+- minutes, and I almost passed out. My heart was beating rapidly and I almost lost conscious. It's like almost a symptom of a panic attack, I was trying to breathe in oxygen but it never got into my lungs. But that's maybe because of my diet now, I only eat twice a day and sometimes I didn't eat at all before going to the gym. Do you think that has anything to do with why it almost made me pass out? Does your everyday diet play a role in how well you exercise daily?
Oh and by the way, I now weigh about 177-183 pounds, being 177 was the lowest I've ever gotten (I think I'm 182 now).
