Does xbox360 use LAN when streaming from Media Center?

Does xbox360 use LAN when streaming music/movies from my Media Center PC or does it use up my internet bandwidth.

Since my bandwidth is capped to 60gig a month, I want to keep it in mind.
 
Media from the pc is streamed through your LAN so won't affect your download limit

Media from yahoo music and youtube or other internet sites however will affect it
