I have just turned 17, and I work out four days a week, for approximately 1.5 hours each day. Does this equal playing a sport?
I am a very academic type student, not athletic at all. Unfortunately, everyone looks highly at sports, especially girls. I was never taught how to play any sport well enough to be able to compete on teams. This seems to be a huge flaw in my character, which has really been getting to me.
So really, my question is aimed at the girls: Would you accept this as an adequate substitute for sports?
If not, could anyone possibly suggest a sport I can take up in high school, or university next year, that doesn't require years of training to adequately play? I have racked my brains, but all the traditional sports like volleyball, basketball, soccer etc. are out of the question. I can swim, but I probably have average speed.
Thank you for answering.
