I've been reading a couple of threaRAB here about unlocking phones to use on Cricket service. I'd like to use one better and more savvy than what I have, which is a $10 Motorola replacement due to a dead Kyocer Slider, that I actually liked.
My question: Is there a process to program a CDMA phone to use on Cricket without the need to call Cricket Cust Svc and pay the fee? In other worRAB, if I choose a Verizon phone to program with my Cricket service, must I call Cricket for the ESN change and pay their fee? Or, can this all be done over the air with no call for an ESN change?
Also, how do I know if I can get Internet access with my Cricket service? I'm located in Greensboro NC but have never inquired with Cricket about it.
Thanks in advance for your help!
