We got the Internet around a week ago. We told our salesman, Rob, we do not need a router because it was going to cost extra. When we finally got the package from ups, the contents did not contain a modem, just an instructional booklet among other things. We went to the same store, called "Verizon Wireless". Somebody from this store, told us to go to the store down the street called "Verizon Plus", to get the modem. They were not willing to give us a modem because it was not their problem to deal with. They called our salesman and said he needed to make it right. We went back there explaining the situation, he tried to call the Internet department to no avail as we waited for around 40 minutes. I told him we should be reimbursed or something he said he had not power to do that, just billing. He finally said, he thinks they're closed so we left, saying we should come back tomorrow.
The next day we went back and he told us that I said we do not need a modem. I said no I said I do not need a Router. He told us to wait while he called the other store "Verizon Plus". After that, he told us that they would give us a modem. I asked him who he spoke to, he said he did not know but that he "swore" he talked to somebody. I asked him what we should do if they refused AGAIN, he said he would talk to them again. We went to Verizon Plus again and unsurprisingly, nobody knew what was going on. A rep called our original store and asked for Rob, after a discussion, the rep finally agreed to call the manager for approval to give a modem. The manager gave the ok, but unfortunately they did not have anymore modems. The rep told Rob that he wasn't going to send us back, but that we were going to have to call the Internet number to have them mail it to us and to reimburse us for our bill, even though we have not had access to their Internet yet.
We were discussing explaining the situation to the manager of the original store we had ordered from and explaining the whole situation and canceling. Thanks for any feedback on our situation.
