Does this sound like the Bush administration and the right wing media to you?

Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."

-Hermann Goering
No I don't feel silly. Many of your answers seem as though you either did not read the question, or the complexity evaded you.
for example, you cannot say it sounds like Obama since he has not tried to sell us a war.
I know who declares war. This is about the selling of war. Also, congress gave bush the pwer to go to war as a last resort. As soon as it didn't look like he was going to find the WMDs to justify his war, he kicked out the inspectors and waged war. Congress should not have passed a bill to give Bush that privilege, but they die. Again, it was meant to allow more effective saber rattling.
Again I see that someone does not know the difference between National Socialist and Socialist. Despite what Rush tells you, they are not the same. Hitler hated communists and socialists.
moke35, I have a degree in international relations.
And I don't think our prime interests have been at stake since WWII.
