this dude smiles at me a lot, like everytime we make eye contact. does that mean he wants sex? if not, what does that mean because he does find me attractive. He did let me know that
 
He smiles because he thinks you're cute. You even said he found you attractive. Just because someone smiles at you does not mean they want sex. What do you think when strangers smile at you on the street?

It's a way of being nice, and it could mean he thinks you're cute.
 
All guys want sex, but that's not a bad thing. Even if he genuinely likes you he'd still want to have sex with you.
 
If he likes you, and finds you attractive, then he probably wants to have sex with you. How soon, and if he will call after depends entirely on what type of guy he is.

Its a simple fact of life. humans have 3 basic desires. Food, Waters, Sex.
