an assignment for english, if not what could i do to make it sound like one? I had to write an ode on a recent tragic event and found one where a mother beat and starved her daughter to death so how does it sound and what should i title it? thanks for your answers

Standing strong she lived on too young to die, suffering silently through the years waiting for an angels salvation
Prayers were sent but unanswered; God's hands couldn't reach her gliding so lovingly down from heaven
Pinned under her mother's wintry glare, agony from her bloodstained hands, battered soul delicate as glass
Her actions clouded in fog muddled to never ending confusion
Ignored by society's eyes, the young girl searching and bleeding heart hoping
Shining so dimly in the dark, pounding heart too weak to beat ceased all sound,
A dull thud forever echoing in the sinners ears, the angels grace at long last arrived lifting her into eternal light "
