I was videochatting with this guy and my friend, and we were talking about HSM, and i was saying that i dont really like it, but i dont hate it. And then he was saying, I bet you hate michael jackson.

** I don't, as a person, like Michael Jackson, but i don't dislike his music.

I explained to him that. Then he said some other rude things like, "I bet you voted for McCain also..." and more, i just don't remember them

Then we got into a fight. He then wanted to "apologize" and said, "I'm sorry...that you don't like HSM and Michael Jackson. Because your racist." And then he kept going on about me being racist because MJ is black and things like that.

I am not racist! Skin color doesn't matter to me. It's just a freakin COLOR.

And then later on, he was saying that he was joking...and even if he was, i dont think that it is a funny thing to joke about?

Is calling somebody racist a joking matter?
He is definately not a close friend to me. We have only met face to face once, but we are friends through other friends.

no, its not a joking matter. Being racist is actually pretty bad. It can seriously hurts co-loured peoples feelings. And if u say it in public, it can cause fights. Most fights by black people are caused by racist comments. And also, its not cool to be racist. people might think the same about you so don't call people things that are racist.
