Here is my situation: I was at a regular public school for my freshman year of high school. Since I was in my first year. I did not take honors/AP because I had no idea what they even were. Then in my sophomore year, I was home schooled. I was not aware online schools even offered those courses. Finally in my junior year which I am in now I looked at the online course catalog at my school, they did. So I started off with English 3 Honors, & Chemistry Honors, & for Geometry they did not have honors for that,I'm not sure why. Since I never took Economics before I took a regular class for that. Okay so now I'm wondering if this would look odd for my senior year because they do not have English 4 Honors in this school, and math they don't either. Are colleges going to get confused of why I only took two honors courses. If I explain this to them, how do you think they would respond? Do colleges look at how many honors course you take? Would that effect your emission in some colleges? How does this work?

college admissions is so competitive these days that they take EVERYTHING into account. i think the irregularity of your schooling and the classes you took may negatively affect your admissions. perhaps you should attend community college for 2 years and then transfer as it is cheaper and you can get general ed out of the way. you can also take honors courses there and that will give you a better chance of getting into better colleges after the 2 years. since many other kids have taken numerous honors classes they will have better chances of getting in first.
