Hey I Was wondering does drinking fizzy drinks make your skin worse, and does what you eat cause spots?
if so what sorta things could i eat to make my spots seem better, and does drinking water help spots go away?
i have a reasonably good diet and even though i am a little overweight i eat sme fruit&veg and things and do drink a bit of water a day, but like is there anything extra anyone could recomend to help or is it all myths that what you eat and drink affect your skin?

anything anyone could suggest is greatly appreciated! :) thanks

Hi Sibby, people will have mixed opinions about food & drinks causing acne. I personally think food plays a big role in acne, but it doesn't for everyone. Fizzy drinks like soda/pop are very unhealthy for both you and your skin. It's full of aspartame sugar and other chemicals which are known to mess up your body (heart, hormone irabalances, skin..etc) so I would stay away from those completely. I know for me and a lot of others..Dairy is a huge no. Because of the extra hormones and nastiness in it can cause frequent breakouts. Red meats are also very hard on the digestive system so that could also make the skin worse. On a lighter note, you may want to eat more greens, blueberries are highly beneficial, almond milk which you can make at home, avocados, wild salmon, turkey, chicken, organic free-range eggs, natural stevia sugar (from plant) instead of white sugar, veg/fruit smoothies for breakfast instead of sugary cereal, or basically anything from your health food store..even the snacks have good ingredients. You don't have to be 100% clean to have great skin..but if you're used to eating sweets & take-out fooRAB then try to limit it to maybe once a week. I know it's hard keeping up with a healthy diet, hard for me too but I sometimes cheat as well, just don't do it everyday and your skin should get better.

If diet doesn't help (which it should within a month), it could be a hormonal problem. Something you might want to research.

Oh and one more tip, try not to wash your face too many times per day. That can definitely make spots worse by stripping the natural oils off your face that are healing. Try reading the other thread on here titled "Simply water". Hope this helps :)

yeah for sure... dairy has a minimum of like, 25g of nastiness per serving. says so right on the nutrition chart. so, yeah, stay away from dairy, she knows what she's talking about...
