Does the Verizon Express Card work for the ps3's internet?

I live in the country where there is no way of getting fast internet for playing video games without using a satellite, which is almost impossible to use with all the lag...

So if I bought a card how much would it be monthly for unlimited access?
Will it give me a reliable connection to play games online?
