Does the university refund the tuition fee(s) if you leave the course/uni?

I've been having doubts about going back to uni for my 2nd year, but have felt kind of forced to by my parents... I didn't like the first year, or the uni itself, or anything about the course really, and I just bearly passed, so I didn't have any intention of going back... but because of pressure, I registered for the 2nd year and paid the tuition fee myself (I had money left over from the student loans company last year so used that instead of going through them again..) - if I tell the uni I've changed my mind, and don't want to go on the course, will they refund me the money I just paid them?
