Does the Tmobile Insurance Cover My new phone?

I bought a sidekick 2009 a couple of months ago and i just recently sold it and bought a G1. im wondering if my insurance covers the G1 also ? Or do i have to pay the $10 fee all over again?
 
If you are paying the $7 fee a month with T-Mobile then all you have to do is call your company and give them the IMEI of the phone which is located behind the battery. In case anything happens and they need to replace it they will go by the IMEI to see what model you previously had and send you that one. So if you have the insurance through T-Mobile then it should cover your G1
