Does the theory man-made Global Warming/Climate Change qualify as a religion?

Well of course it doesn't. What it IS is a vast, left wing conspiracy to bring down America. You should put Gore's mug as avatar. We are finally seeing some common sense about this GW boondoggle. People are so easily swayed in the absence of any real evidence.

It almost feels like a religion though, doesn't it? It's mostly based on faith and 'scientists' make up all kinds of wild theories to support there original thesis. This ain't science. It's political strategy.

No. It is more of a cause. Religion is a belief related to spiritual well-being. The Earth's well-being ultimately benefits everyone's well-being, but keeping it healthy is a physical and tangible goal. The two are not disconnected, but global warming is science based. Religion is faith-based. They seem to belong to different categories, but not entirely alienated from one another.

It certainly seems to be considered as one by a lot of uninformed people. The Earth is always entering or leaving an ice age. At present, we are leaving one, and the Earth is getting warmer. This would be happening it there was not a single human being on the planet. Man does have an effect on the climate, but in the planetary scheme of things, it is negligible. Al Gore and his acolytes are doing what charlatans always do; prey on the fears and ignorance of the uneducated.
