Does the Sydney council chase up interstate cars for parking fines?

I've received a parking infringement from the City of Sydney council, but my car is registered to WA. Does anyone know if they will chase me up for it? Or will my name/rego number be blacklisted if I eventually register my car here?

The car is registered to a WA address at the moment.
