I am an International student in the United States of America. I am almost 280 pounds, 180 cm in height. I feel weak and tired whole day. I tried dieting and was successful in loosing like 15 pounds but slowly with time, all came back. I actually gained double. I felt so disgusted. I joined GYM but my busy schedule and weak will power makes it impossible to get over this obesity. I want to try Lap band surgery because I have felt that hunger is the main reason for my obesity. I get so hungry sometimes that my brain forgets everything about calories. I cannot control myself. I feel so hungry to eat but after eating it makes me feel equally bad that why I ate that!!! I want to try Lap band so that I can get rid of this extra hunger. My hunger increases if I do exercise. After exercise my hunger doubles. So, I think lap band is the only option for me. I recently heard on radio about Lap Band cost covered by insurance. The Lap Band people advocate the fact that weight loss is necessary and surgery is the only option. I want to know is it really possible? Can I take help of insurance to cover my Lap band surgery? I have PPO health insurance.
