Does the pantech laser's ATT music player use the internet?

I just bought the phone like 3 days ago, and i have a memory card in the phone with all my music. When i open the pantech laser AT&T Music player it says it uses large ammounts of data, Kinda confused on why it would internet, but ok..... Need to know if it does, I'll get in truble if i use the internet D: lol
