does the n71 use same programs for n80?

Does the n71 use same programs for n80? Is it the same symbian version i mean?

Yes I have a N71 and it works with N80 software. Just some themes/games don't work.

Even the themes and games should work, but they may not display properly because of the different screen resolutions.

Yeah should work but problems with the res.

As regards to the games, there is a way to resize them so most games can be modified.

Also, when looking for games look for N73 -- it has the same QVGA resolution as the N71 and E50, most N73 games seem to work on other handsets.

how can games be modified to fit size as this happens on my N80

We're not really allowed to link to the place that has a lot of threads on the subject, so I'll say "go google for 'ipmart forums'", then look in the S60 3rd Edition Games subforum for many threads on how to modify a java game's resolution. YMMV, never done it myself.
