Does the Motorola Rival have a touch screen?

I'm planning on getting a new Verizon phone tomorrow. I've been looking at the Rival for a while now, and was wondering if any of you have had issues with it. Would you recommend this phone? What would you recommend getting with it? Should I get insurance, which insurance plan? Over all do you like it? Have you had any issues with the screen? What is the screen good for other than viewing, is it a touch screen?
