for example, if your name was Sue, would you hear the name "Sue" more clearly in a crowd than another name, even if they were equally loud?

or if you play sports, would you literally see more information from the sports section in a newspaper than a person who didn't play sports? I mean, would you mentally filter out less because your mind is already familiar with the information?
