Does the Media Really Shape Your Opinion?

I know where i stand on such issues as gay marriage,legal abortions, gun controls,and the current health care plan.I hear what they're saying on CNN,Fox News,and various websites,but my opinion has not changed.so just how effective do you think media and propaganda really is?
 
The media always has bias opinions, no matter what. But at the same time they bring up some key points that one must also consider, so sometimes they may not influence your opinion but they broaden your choices to your opinion.
