Does the Media have a balanced view of young people?

I am doing a topic in english - "All teenagers in Scotland are lazy & troublesome" and we have to write an essay giving our views etc. One of the points we have to cover is "Does the media have a balanced view of young people?" Can you give me some suggestions for this please? Thanks!
