Does the Mazda MX3 16v 1.6L use the same transmission as the Mazda 323 12v 1.6L?

I own a 1993 Mazda MX3 with the 1.6L manual trans. I'm trying to find a replacement trans as mine died out on me. The MX3 wasn't really a popular car so the transmissions seem to be hard to come by. I know in the 323 they used almost the same SOHC 1.6L but it was a 12v instead of a 16v.
Are the transmissions the same in both vehicles? If so, are the gear ratios the same?

I found a website that says both vehicles used a F4A-EL trans, but another website claims the MX3 uses the F25M-R... Who is correct?
