Does the LG KF750 Secret work in the U.S.?

I want to get a new unlocked phone and I really like the LG Secret, but I don't know if it works well with U.S. carriers since its a foreign phone. Also I was looking at the Samsung Star. So does the LG Secret work good in the U.S. and if so which would be better to get, the Secret or the Star.
 
I would rather go with the samsung star.. but its only available in canada. But im sorry since im not in the u.s i don't know if you could buy it here and use it in the u.s
