Barry Boy
The boorish lout came swaggering
thumping his chest, shouting words
pausing quite frequently to reload-
his bravery fueled by the grape.
Hear me Neon, you are not a bard
for you violate all canons of words
You’re just a joke, a lowly joke
for I surely know, for I am Barry.
Now Barry has won many a prize
on that quite desolate planet Mars.
(he certainly tells everyone as much)
So learned, so gifted, so great is he.
Humbled now, I must retreat and leave
for the great Barry has duly spoken
and who am I to say it ain’t so.
After all I can’t stop laughing at his joke.
Or am I laughing at him? I can’t decide...
