Does the early termination fee with Verizon decrease the closer you get to the end of

your contract? Right now, I'm paying for a whole lot of minutes I don't use and I want to switch to Virgin Mobile. My contract is up in a few months and I've heard the termination fee decreases the closer you get to end of contract, but I'm not sure how true that is. Its too late to call Verizon so maybe someone here knows.
