Does the birth control shot affect a home pregnancy test?

I had a little cum on my fingers when I fingered my gf and now she's getting some symptoms of pregnancy but she takes the birth control pill so she doesn't get her period and so when her shot wore off it messed up her period schedule so we don't know if she missed her period and she's getting the shot again tomorrow will the shot lessen or decrease the accuracy of the home pregnancy test.
