does the army have a cooking program?

im 16 almost 17 and i wana be a chef and i heard u can get all the cooking traing while being paid in the army and i won't have to be sent off to fight. i also heard u get basic gun and combat traing is this true and how long will it take? do u have any good sites that i can look at? i live in cloverdale british columbia near vancouver
