does the apple company contact you by phone or mailing?

I was wondering if the apple company or iTunes ever mailed you a letter or contacted you by phone for any reason. I've recently made an iTunes account and it asked me for my address, phone number and everything. It said it was required for completing the registration. So I gave my address and number but im still wondering if they will ever use my mailing address and number to contact me about the songs i've downloaded or anything...

so if someone can help that would be great ^^
