Does T-Mobile's Sidekick have permissions settings?

I have a connection to the internet on my T-Mobile Sidekick phone. I can load web pages fine, but another application of mine fails to connect. They said nothing is wrong on their side and that it may be a "permissions setting" issue on my phone. How do I edit permissions on a Sidekick? Can I?
