Does T Mobile Unlimited Text Plan Also Include?

Ok I have a friend who has Tmobile and we both talk via instant messenger , and now with her going to college , she wants to communicate text , which I can only do via SMS and Gmail ..Does anyone know if you have a Tmobile Account With unlimited text messaging ..Does that also include SMS Messages .
