I want to buy an Nexus One but am attracted to the subsidized price from Tmobile vs the unlocked price. If I buy the phone how does setting up the data plan on Tmobile work? Do they automatically know that it is a Nexus One and could I change the phone selection on their website to reflect a non-smartphone to receive a cheap data plan.. I hate paying $30 for my iphone - that's ridiculous. Has anyone tried/had success with this??
My main question is if they track the IMEI of the nexus one so I could switch it on the website so they think its a non smartphone and get a cheaper data plan.
